About Joop
Two years before Joop! Homme turned the brand into a household name, Wolfgang Joop released Joop! Perfume in 1987 — for women first. That sequence matters. His vision here was unapologetically full and warm, an oriental floral built on richness rather than restraint. Late-80s perfumery at its most confident: dense, unhurried, and completely uninterested in being subtle.
